The nether is now opened!

You can now get all nether materials and get killed by ghasts and zombie pigman!
Quartz is only located at more than 500 blocks from the nether spawn.

The opening of the nether has been made possible thanks to Arthredemis.

Note to self: EVERYTHING will try to kill you, including lava.

Atm I walked to nearly 900 blocks

I believe its time to debate on how big the nether shall be.
Now the size can be no bigger than 6k x 6k. Since that's the size of the PvP over world and I don't to waste server space on world file sizes.

Now since every 8 Nether world blocks is worth one block in the over world, I was think it should be 750x750 (6000 divide by 8), But that's too small.
Here is a list of possible sizes below;
> 3k x 3k (1500 blocks from spawn)
> 2k x 2k (1000 blocks from spawn)
> 1k x 1k (500 blocks from spawn)

If you have any sizes you want to suggest, please post them below, But they must not exceed 5500 blocks x 5500 block (2750 blocks from spawn) When reasonable sizes are chosen, I shall open up a poll topic on the size (What Rehtims did for PvP).

P.S; there will not be any rails due to the fact it takes ages just to set the rails up. If a new PvP and Nether is created, then yes, I will work on rails for both maps.

I don't like the idea of travelling in the Nether... It gives a way too big advantage.

2.5k x 2.5k seems proper.

Also, I don't like the idea of a new pvp being created. Like, at all.
