Towny
Ok so the prices have been updated for the new server:
There will now be a cost to use /town spawn, which is $5.00
I have enabled teleportation between two towns of the same nation, the cost to travel to an allied town will be $10.00 (If anyone has any concerns with this idea let me know, as most of us are not to keen on allowing players into our towns, but in the long run this should not be a concern for allied towns in my opinion)
The new price to start a town is now $2500 (which is the price of about 5 diamonds) - This can also be renegotiated if someone feels it should be cheaper/more expensive - Town upkeep is $150 a day - A town outpost costs $2000
The cost to start a new nation is $10000 - (which can also be renegotiated) - Nation upkeep is $400 a day
Also: about the idea of towny wars, I think the one concern people had is being able to grief other towns, which I found out can be disabled (so to attack other towns you place flags to declare an attack, or stand in a town which acts to remove the towns health points) Towns do not have to be removed upon loss in a war.

Re: Towny
15k to make
500/day to upkeep.
400 seems a tad low. One month => 12000 vs 15000
That way every month you keep it, it's the same price as the initial purchase.
I also think buying a town is a little bit too low. Maybe 4k? If you can spend 15 minutes mining and can buy a town with a single vein of ore, I think that it's a tad too cheap. We'll have dozens of towns around the world. I don't know, unless that's what we want?

Re: Towny
Yeah the idea was to make them cheap to start off :]
It allows new/inexperienced players to be able to just get straight in there and make towns, which is why they are more expensive to maintain.
Nighttarga has a good way of looking at it.

Re: Towny
Ah, so the target is to get new players to make towns so it'll be a larger community instead of always-online people making a few towns and then have one massive glob of people.
Makes sense.
